I was the kid in high school who was obsessed with music. I was in two bands, my church band, three school ensembles and so on. I would play anywhere I could, and record anyone who needed it. When all my friends went to college I packed my bags and headed to Nashville. Everyone has a bit of a wake up call when they first move to town. I remember in my first two weeks wondering if I’d be able to keep up with the level of skill here. After all I was the 20 year old kid competing with Industry professionals with decades of experience. One thing about me is I don’t stop. I remember my first year here I would wake up and practice for five hours… and then go to work which was making and teaching music. Now I’m happy to say I am one of those industry professionals, and I get to make music every single day for my job!
